Mini excavator maintenance
Greasing, track tension and fluid levels prevent most expensive breakdowns.
Every day
- Engine oil, hydraulic oil and coolant levels (on diesels).
- Leaks in hoses and cylinders, and the condition of pins.
- Battery charge on electrics.
Every week
- Greasing of boom, arm and bucket pivot points.
- Air filter and radiator cleaning.
- Track tension per the manufacturer's manual.
Rubber tracks
Avoid pivot turns on asphalt, kerbs and sharp stone, which cut the rubber. Clean mud from the undercarriage and do not leave the machine in the sun with slack tracks.
